We offer independent fire risk assessment and advice bespoke for your business in line with all current fire safety regulations. We work with some of London and South East’s largest companies including; social housing providers, HMOs, factories and shops. With 14 years experience in the health and safety industry, we are a trusted name for all your fire safety requirements.

We pride ourselves on supporting and guiding small businesses to meet their fire safety commitments. We understand the importance of fire safety commitments as outlined in the Fire Safety Order 2005; however, these can sometimes be overlooked under general health and safety inspections. We will work with you, providing a step-by-step bespoke service for your business needs.

Why do I need a fire risk assessment?

A fire risk assessment should help you identify all the fire hazards and risks in your premises.

You will then be able to decide whether the risks identified are acceptable or whether you need to take steps to reduce or control them. The Fire Safety Order requires a responsible person to take reasonable steps to reduce fire risk.

A private school in Thanet, Kent for girls and boys aged between three and 11 have been declared inadequate by Ofsted

Frequently asked questions

What does the assessor do during their visit?

Our assessor visits the premises to understand your business and building. They will inspect all areas, even the kitchen cupboards. They will assess all safety aspects and regulatory requirements before compiling a detailed report.

When will I get my report?

It will take about 2 weeks from the date of the visit to complete the fire risk assessment and produce a copy. If you need it quicker, please let us know.

What documentation will the assessor need to see?

This is an endless list and will differ between businesses and properties. Below is a sample list.
• The fire strategy documentation for the building.
• Fire policy
• Fire logbook
• Testing and service details fire alarm (if you have one)
• Testing and service details for emergency lighting.
• Test and service details for fire equipment,(extinguisher, hose reels, etc)
• Personal training.
• Electrical inspection reports and PAT testing reports.
• Fire drill and training documents.

Do I need a fire risk assessment every year?

No, but you are advised to review the assessment a minimum of annually. It is your responsibility to keep this document updated with regular reviews. Some businesses might require a fire risk assessment on a more regular basis due to the risk.
